Frenchman's Bay sea fishing mark

Just over a mile from South Shields pier, this high tide mark can produce some outstanding catches of cod and coalfish.

Recommended Baits:
Peeler crabs, lugworms, razorfish, mussels, clams
Directions : Take the A183 south from South Shields along the seafront and park at the roadside approximately half a mile after passing the New Crown Hotel.
Season : Cod and coalfish in winter, eels and dogfish in summer
