Hopton Sea Fishing Mark

This fairly shallow, sandy beach with evenly-spaced groynes offers some protection from strong northerly or southerly winds

Recommended Baits:
Lugworms, squid, peeler crabs, white rag
Directions : Hopton is off the A12 between Gorleston and Lowestoft. Turn off at the large roundabout signposted to Hopton. Go about 50 metres, turn left at the T junction, then immediately right. Follow road into the village where road bends sharply right. Go straight across and follow the road to the end of the cottages for beach access via the steel steps. Alternatively follow the road round to the right, then turn left into Beach Road for access via a concrete slope
Season : Bass from May to October, whiting and dabs October to April, codling December to February
