Long Groyne Sea Fishing Mark

A protective groyne on the south-east corner of the Hengistbury Head

Cod, pouting, conger, rockling, bass, mullet, ballan wrasse, plaice, pollack, flounder, conger

Recommended Baits:
Peeler crab, ragworm, sandeel, mackerel
Directions : Take the A35 from Christchurch or Bournemouth and the B3059 to Southbourne, following the signs to Hengistbury Head. The groyne is reached by ferry from Mudeford Quay, by land train (summer) or walk from Hengistbury car park
Season : Winter for cod, pouting, conger and rockling, other species in summer and autumn
