The Island Sea Fishing Mark

This mark at St Ives is best on a flowing tide from early flood to one hour's ebb

Garfish, mackerel, plaice, flounder, turbot, John Dory, whiting, garfish, dab

Recommended Baits:
Lugworm, ragworm, mackerel, sandeels
Directions : Take the A30 to the west end of the Hayle bypass, turn right towards Lelant on the A3074 to St Ives. At St Ives follow the one-way system around the harbour to Porthgwidden car park. Take the coastal path to the top of The Island on the left of the old Coastguard station
Season : Winter for whiting, dogfish and dab, other species in summer
