Alan Yates says: A powerful but light three-piece economy Continental-style beachcaster. Daiwa offers several more rods for four times the price, but it has not dropped below the carbon quality threshold required to give the blank a good action. Fittings and fixtures may be cheaper, but the overall casting action and balance is excellent.
