This heavy-duty reel has been doing the rounds for years, and served many anglers with its excellent winching power along the way.
Veterans among you will recall this reel when it came fitted with a level-wind, and a lot of rough ground shore anglers would remove it.
This model, however, has kept up with the times and now comes fully engineered to perfection with a CT open-top cage and magnetic control.
I was pleased to see that the push-button release has been replaced by a manual lever, but then I was disappointed to find that it clicks back into gear as the handle is turned.
The handle is a great fit in the hand and very comfortable, which is vital when dragging and bullying fish through heavy ground.
