This large fixed-spool surf reel comes with a heap of extras including five bearings, a stainless steel main shaft, and an aluminium spool that is so deep it will swallow 280 metres of 25lb mainline.
The machined metal handle has a huge knob for total cranking power that is aided with a brass pinion gear that powers it along at a swift retrieve of 4.1:1. It looks classy in its black and gold livery and should last for many seasons.
Value for money: A large surf fixed-spool under 50 quid is always a bargain.
Practicality: Lots of features and holds plenty of line.
Would we buy it? If I needed a replacement, I’d consider it.
