Directions : Take the A19 north through the Tyne Tunnel and turn right onto the A193 towards North Shields. Drive through the town centre until you reach the outskirts of Tynemouth. The Middens are on the north side of the harbour. Parking at the bottom of Tanners Bank or next to Knott’s Flats.
Season : Winter for coalfish and codling, flounder in September and October
