Directions : From Glasgow take the A77 south to Ayr, at the Whitletts roundabout head into town past the racecourse, through all the traffic lights to the next roundabout where you turn right. Go along this road for half a mile, over the mini-roundabout till you approach Tam’s bridge, turn left on the bridge, then head straight on, over another bridge, to the promenade
